Thank you all very much. And I just wanted to say good evening to all of you and thank you for making the time to come this evening. When I launched Restore Britain in [clears throat] February this year, I made it very clear what we intended to do. I'm not interested in conserving a rotten system that does not work. I'm not interested in reforming a corrupt establishment that does not serve us.
And I'm not interested in changing the same tired people leaving Sorry, changing the same changing the same tired people at the at the top while leaving the rusting machinery of failure untouched. And I'm certainly not interested in becoming yet another political party that spends 5 years complaining about Britain and then discovers when an election arrives that it has no serious program for governing Britain. [applause] Our political party and I use ours collectively cuz it's all of us exists for one reason and one reason only to restore Britain. [applause] And that requires work. Detailed work.
Difficult work. Very often, uncomfortable work. Because the problems facing the country were not created yesterday, and they will not disappear because somebody gives a good spree speech or produces another three-word slogan. Britain needs a serious and honest program of national restoration. And that is what we are building.
That is what I want to talk to you about tonight. Just look at the progress we have already made. We've published detailed papers on mass deportations, on the British pub, on self-defense, on inheritance tax, on energy, policing, national belonging, financial regulation, borders, and student loans alongside our major economic program, which we've entitled The Wealth of Our Nation. It was in this paper that we led the way in proposing to scrap the unaffordable triple lock and replace it with an annual pension increase linked to the consumer price index. This matters because politics should ultimately answer one question.
What are you actually going to do? Not what are you going to post on social media. Not who are you going to blame. What are you going to do to fix it? And Restore Britain is answering that question.
I want to start with our economic paper. The philosophy is simple. Britain does not need a bigger state. Britain needs a richer state. A more financially secure and independent people, not suffocating, but suffocated by the ever-soaring cost of living.
For decades, politicians have behaved as though real prosperity can be measured on a spreadsheet. For every problem every problem has the same solution. I see it every week on the Public Accounts Committee. Another department. Another scheme.
Another regulator. Another quango. Another billion pounds. Another tax. Another borrowing program.
And what has happened? The state has become bigger. Taxes have become higher. Debt has become larger. And the servicing of that debt is now completely unmanageable.
Inflation has soared. And the experience of ordinary Brits using public services has become so much worse. The British state is the only organism known to man [clears throat] that becomes larger every time it fails. Rather akin to the USSR. The bureaucrats in the civil service spending our money and the politicians supposedly directing that process are simply not equipped to do the job.
Do you know what their function would be in any just society? To put it generously, they would be cleaning people's shoes. [applause] Our objective is to slash state spending down from roughly 45% of GDP towards the approximately 33% level inherited from the wretched Tony Blair in 1997. But it all comes down to this. We must fundamentally change the relationship between the British citizen and the British state.
Government should do a small list of things, but it should do those things well, properly, and within budget. It should protect our border, our people, and our interests, and that's it. It should leave far more of your own money in your own pockets because politicians need reminding of something. It's not their money. It's my money.
It's your money. It is our money. The productive economy carries the state. The state does not carry the productive economy, and Restore will govern accordingly. That means serious tax reform.
The tax-free allowance raised to 16,000 pounds. The basic rate band expanded to 100,000 pounds. And And we will give the full allowance to all taxpayers. [applause] No corporation tax on the first 50,000 pounds of all profits. Restoring the 19% corporation tax uh threshold above that threshold.
We will hold a tax bonfire which like the Great Wall of China will be visible from space. [applause] Stamp duty gone. [applause] Inheritance tax gone. Insurance premium tax gone. Air passenger duty gone.
[applause] The climate change levy gone. [applause] We will take a chainsaw to the British state in a manner that will make Javier Milei look like a socialist puppet. [applause] We will scrap IR35. We will give small businesses room to breathe. [applause] We will raise thresholds on income tax and dividends.
Hard work hard work will be rewarded and success will not be punished. [applause] We will attack the regulation and bureaucracy that consume the time of most people who should be building businesses rather than filling in forms. We will end the era of reckless money printing that has made us all poorer. This will all be done sensibly and in the correct order. Cuts to spending first, then the tax reductions will begin.
[applause] Welfare will be the main target. [applause] Billions and billions must be saved. Our welfare state should provide a safety not a hammock. [applause] If a healthy individual continually refuses to work, they will lose their benefits. If they can't find work, they will be put to work.
Picking litter, cleaning graffiti, removing the filth that covers our towns and cities. [applause] [applause] Hard-working British men and women will not fund the these indolent layabouts who refuse to contribute to our society, yet are all too happy to take our money. If they have the energy to call me a Nazi on the internet, they certainly have the time to clean up the local canal. But, let me make you all a firm commitment here tonight. A Restore Britain government will finally end the welfare piss-take.
[applause] Ours is a serious program for economic restoration. We will make Britain rich again. We will make Britain affordable again, and we will make Britain great again. [applause] [applause] And that brings me to Britain's young people. Because we are creating a country where young men and women are expected to pay more and more for less and less.
We are leaving the country to them in a far worse state than the one that was handed to my generation. And I personally will not sit back and watch that happen. It shames our generation, and we should have the courage to say so. They pay enormous rent, record taxes, outrageous house prices, and ludicrous child care costs. Trying to Trying to build a family in modern Britain gets harder every day.
Yet, their struggles are ignored and insulted by politicians. [applause] Why? Because they don't vote in enough numbers. But Restore Britain is a political party that will fight for their support. We will not abandon our young to the green Islamists and the Labour Socialists.
We will give them a general a a genuine patriotic alternative. And just one part of that, as just one part of that, Restore has proposed something straightforward in our latest paper. Abolish student loan interest for British nationals resident in the United Kingdom. [applause] [applause] Past interest and future interest. Zero, gone, abolished.
[applause] Graduates would still repay the underlying loan under the repayment system until economic conditions allow us to take further action. But their balance would no longer be inflated by such painful interest. We want young people putting their money towards their homes, their families, their businesses, their savings, their future, not spending decades watching their debt to government grow while they're already making repayments. This is what generational fairness means, and we will act to deliver it. [applause] But none of our economic program can be separated from the issue of Britain's establishment, which has spent decades refusing to confront mass immigration, legal and illegal.
[applause] Restore is not going to merely tinker around the edges. That will not work. We do not believe changing the wording on a visa while leaving the basic system intact constitutes border control. Our stated objective is clear. Not slow mass immigration [clears throat] or stop mass immigration.
Reverse it. [applause] [applause] If you want to come and live in Britain, you need to apply legally, speak English, respect our history and our culture, integrate, abide by our laws, and bring skills which enrich us. If not, stay in your own country. [applause] Hardly rocket science, simply common sense. Every man, woman, and child living in our country illegally will be identified and deported.
[applause] [applause] The boats will stop and the planes will start. [applause] Restore Britain has published the most comprehensive removal plan ever produced in Britain. Every page of it is pure deportation poetry. [applause] We are now seeking the power to implement it. But the illegal migrant population is just one small part of a wider problem.
The main immigration crisis lands in our country not at Dover, but at Gatwick, Heathrow, and Stansted. Our government can have zero small boats tomorrow and still operate a completely unsustainable immigration system. Reform's position is that non-citizens should be here on terms that serves Britain's interests. Work, work, contribution, good character, integration, English, self-sufficiency. In short, a net gain for the British people.
[applause] We will not fund foreign nationals who are unable to financially support themselves or their families. If foreign nationals live in social housing and claim benefits, I wish them well, but they will be made to leave our country. Politely at first, but then with some encouragement. If a If a foreign national is unable to speak English, they will be deported. Our counselors in Norfolk, just 2 weeks ago, passed a motion to scrap all foreign language translation services in Norfolk.
[applause] Some of them are here today, great men and women. And our Kent team are planning on doing the same. [applause] If you live in England, you speak English. [applause] The only foreign language translation services that we will provide is the seat belt instructions on their flight home. [applause] If a foreign national despises who we are and wants to do us harm, they will be deported.
[applause] The radical Islamists in our midst will be surgically extracted. [applause] We will not wait for the next terror attack. We will act before they do. We will remove the cancer of radical Islam and we will reverse the Islamification of our country. [applause] [applause] Immigration into Britain from the [clears throat] third world will end entirely.
[applause] We will implement our red list. We will do what any self-respecting nation should do. Discriminate. Somalia, Pakistan, Eritrea, Albania, Afghanistan, Iran, Bangladesh. Civilian immigration from these countries and many more will end in its entirety.
[applause] [applause] There will be no more Pakistani immigration into Britain. [applause] The borders will close. Crucially, we will restore the link between British citizenship and being British in any meaningful sense. [applause] A mass review of citizenships granted will be undertaken. We will forensically root out fraud and deception, and those found guilty will be stripped of their British passport and deported.
[applause] New bilateral agreements will be forged to meet this illegal reality. The number is secondary. It is the principle which will come first. [applause] This is a firm policy commitment I am making to you all tonight. A Restore Britain government will establish an office for citizenship standards to deliver this on a timetable which is acceptable to the British people.
We will not pretend that imported foreign terrorists who have been fraudulently awarded British citizenship are as British as you and I. Please listen to these words. They may have a British passport. They may technically be a British citizen, but they are not part of our family. They are not British.
We will remove that passport and we will remove them from our country. [applause] Restore Britain's policy is this. All citizenship grants will end other than through marriage with strict fraud checks attached. The vast damage inflicted on our nation through mass naturalizations cannot be undone entirely, but we will do everything in our power to make British citizenship mean something again and reverse what we can. [applause] [applause] In short, a Restore Britain government will end the era of mass immigration.
[applause] [applause] I don't really care if politicians claim the economy is technically larger if it means that the individual British citizen is poorer. The questions I care about are as follows. Is GDP per capita increasing? Are British people becoming richer? Can they fund a home?
Can they afford children? Can they heat their house? Can they start a business? Can they accumulate savings? Can they pass something on to their family?
Can they walk down their high street and recognize a functioning, high-trust British society? Can Britain feel like our home again? That is real prosperity. [applause] Hard to define but essential to deliver. But that prosperity also requires energy.
Cheap, [clears throat] reliable, domestic, abundant energy. Britain helped create the Industrial Revolution. We are surrounded by energy resources. We possess world-class engineers. We have nuclear expertise.
And yet, we have constructed an energy system that imposes unnecessarily high costs on household and industry. The highest in the world. It is lunacy that we are buying our hydrocarbons from Norway while we ignore both proven and unproven reserves while a unique pool of expertise in Aberdeen the collapses into obscurity. It is a perverse failure of government. I agree with this assessment from Aneurin Bevan who presciently stated the following.
This island is made mainly of coal and surrounded by fish. Only an organizing genius could produce a shortage of coal and fish at the same time. [applause] Sadly, we have been governed by these geniuses for far too long. An entirely clean break is needed from the failed consensus. So, Restore Britain has published our comprehensive energy strategy.
Expand domestic oil and gas. Explore shale where commercially viable. Build nuclear. [applause] Accelerate small modular reactors. Repeal the Climate Change Act.
Remove net zero related levies and mechanisms that our paper argues inflate system costs. We will, in short, drill, BABY, DRILL. [applause] [applause] AND WE WILL CERTAINLY NOT GET involved in endless foreign wars in the Middle East that drive up fuel costs and punish hard-working British families at the pump. It's not our fight, and we shouldn't have to pay the price for it. We must treat energy as strategic national infrastructure.
Why? Because cheap energy makes everything easier and affordable. Manufacturing becomes more competitive. Pubs cheaper to run. Households keep more money.
Factories can expand. Investment becomes more attractive. Domestic production becomes viable. Britain will make things again. And Britain will [clears throat] build things again.
[applause] We don't want to see Britain become a giant service economy where everybody sells consultancy services to everybody else while the things we actually consume are manufactured abroad. I want a Britain that can [clears throat] create things which can't be attached to an email. Mines, factories, power stations, engineering, manufacturing, industry, processing of food and fish. A proud Britain, a productive Britain, a self-sufficient Britain. And then we must restore order.
One law, one standard. Again, that principle is simple. The state should be frightening to criminals and reassuring to decent Brits. [applause] It will be firm. It will be fair.
It will be equal. And yes, we will do the unthinkable. [clears throat] White British men will be treated in the same way as everybody else. [applause] [applause] Two weeks ago, a father of two was given a two-year jail sentence for throwing a plastic bottle at the police and swearing at officers during an anti-migrant protest in Portsmouth. One plastic bottle and a few swear words, two years.
When rapists and pedophiles walk free, they have found the prison space for this frustrated father. Violence against police is unacceptable. But so is the state using its vast power to make a cruel example of those with rightful anger. [applause] It is morally wrong and a Restore government will fix it. [applause] We will not have law-abiding peaceful protesters crushed under the state's boot while invading scumbags from the third world are ferried into our harbors.
[applause] [applause] If there is one reason alone why you should should support Restore Britain, it is this. Those civil servants, officials, and yes, politicians who have knowingly facilitated the invasion of our country and deliberately placed unvetted, dangerous men in communities all over Britain, we will aim to prosecute them and where appropriate, [applause] and where appropriate, they will be sent to prison. [applause] Giving your support to Restore Britain now will send a message today that the British people will not tolerate it. There will be resistance. We've already seen that.
They will attack us. They will abuse us. They will harass us. The sluggish mob will attack again and again [clears throat] as we have witnessed disgracefully in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election for the departing Keir Starmer's seat. Normal laws of our society will not apply to those attempting to undermine Restore Britain.
So, we must be prepared for that. They will try and create division within our ranks. We must not waver or falter. There are entire institutions invested in the status quo. There are people whose careers and entire lives depend upon the state remaining enormous.
Industries built around regulation. Organizations constructed around mass immigration. Consultants being paid more in a week than a nurse earns in a month to explain why government projects are over budget. Parasitic campaign groups entirely dependent on taxpayer funding. Quangos that exist solely to justify their own continued existence.
An establishment depending on the existing two-party status quo continuing and suppressing the genuine patriotic appeal for change. They will fight us. Fine. We will fight back. [applause] Because the alternative is accepting the end of Britain [clears throat] as we know it.
And I refuse I refuse to accept that young British people should become poorer than their parents. I refuse to accept that a country with Britain's natural resources should have ruinously expensive energy. I refuse to accept that working people should surrender more and more of their earnings to a state that delivers less and less. I refuse to accept that illegal immigration is an insoluble fact of life. I refuse to accept that mass immigration can never be reversed.
I refuse to watch our young people replaced by zero-skilled laborers from the third world. I refuse to accept that Britain cannot be great once again. Britain does not need conserving. It does not need reforming. It certainly does not need the old order rehabilitated wearing a different color rosette.
It needs a political party filled with decent British men and women ready to entirely replace it. A party prepared to make difficult decisions. A party prepared to put our own people first. A party prepared to hand the next generation something better. That is our mission.
That is our objective. For us to succeed we need to win support of the majority of decent British law-abiding people who have quietly accepted increasing levels of servitude without complaint. It is now essential to urgently stand up together to restore Britain. We don't have long. We [clears throat] have a talented dedicated team of young patriots committed to this gargantuan task.
And I want to thank each and every one of them for our progress to date. [applause] [applause] As Benjamin Franklin said as the USA was founded, we must indeed all hang together or most assuredly we shall all hang separately. [applause] Friends and patriots, let me finish on a high note. I have never been more optimistic that we can achieve our objectives and take back our country. I hope you will join me and together we will restore Britain.
