H it reminds me a little bit in my own job here um of when I talk with celebrities you want to get on the podcast and it's their PR teams and the PR teams if they don't make you take questions out and then edit things and stop you saying anything of any interest they're not doing anything so they sort of have to and I think you get this kind of red tape person all kinds of businesses all kinds of industries they're the ones who I mean it can get quite serious I think in an author authoritarian dictatorship or something those are the guys who rise right to the top aren't they

Like I still believe in vaccinations, but the problem for me is that no one on that side will even talk about that there might have been problems with it, you know. So I'm open to the idea there might have been problems.

I had an interesting conversation about that with an Anne Coulter, the American uh politician and writer and she was talking about um Christianity and how it tends to create a culture of hardworking and all those kinds of things. Uh and she said Mexican immigration is is terrible. Well, she tried to argue it was worse than Islamic immigration to the UK. And I was going, "Well, hang on." Um, but at least it's Christian. And she said, "No, but that's Catholic." And I thought that was really interesting.
Maybe we could look at some of the countries. I mean, because Protestantism we found in sort of Germany and Britain. These are countries that have done really well. So, there does seem to be something in that.

Yeah. What they get wrong is they they think everything is sort of a Nazi thing in their minds, isn't it? And they forget that Jews actually tried to flee Germany and they brought them back in. What you're suggesting is the opposite. They don't come in.
If I try and go off to some country that I don't I don't have permission to live in, well, they're going to kick me out. I think that's quite a usual.

Yeah. I mean, a lot of that wasn't illegal. That was legal immigration. Well, that's what I want to say because people I I I've started saying recently, I think that the illegal stop the boats and all that. I know it's a catchy phrase and it's very important.

I want to ask you about Nigel Farage, but I just want to clarify as well for people, you know, I I do care about the stop the boats thing. It's just that it's it's like 30,000 people and we're letting in with legal immigration 1.2 million or something in a year.

neither do I. Neither do I. And I can look we can all take the reason I don't sometimes do get offended about the Jewish jokes is because we're not supposed to joke about anyone else. But I think we should live in a society I agree with you where we do make jokes about these kind it's just silly jokes and and I think you are a friend of the Jewish people you don't care but I wonder if that kind of jokiness in a kind of you know if that's what you're saying off camera to the you know just some people interview.

I felt very sorry for you about your dog. I mean it's it's an because I'm not from the countryside or or I don't you know farming that's not what I'm of so to speak. It was it was very strange for me to hear how how you took care of that. But at no point did I think you brute.

I agree with you on all of that, but I'm just saying that and I agree that Nigel obviously he was on standing on the shoulders of of previous giants, people like people like Jimmy Goldmith. Nigel picked up the the baton in in when he went into the European part. He did a good job which is why he didn't have a very long career in business. But can we agree he did a good good job on Brexit on getting

The reason I I raise this is because I think a lot of people listening or viewing are concerned that well Benhabib you mentioned I mean he's a friend of mine I love Ben that there's going to be a split in in the vote and and even if reform are a little bit too centristy at the moment
